My Thrifty Treat!

Yesterday, I had a bad day a work and needed some retail therapy. But what's a girl to do when she's on a tight budget?
Fortunetly, there is a Southern Thrift Store just a couple of blocks from where I work. So, I popped in on my lunch break. Every week they have 2 different colored tags that are 50% off the listed price. This week it was yellow and red striped tags. So, the rule I set for myself was I would only buy items that were 50% off this week. Here's what I got:

1 heavy cotton T-shirt $ .34
1 Coldwater Creek shirt (blue) $1.29
1 Coldwater Creek shirt (yellow) $1.79
1 pair Lee Navy shorts (navy) $2.49
1 plastic storage basket $ .49

TOTAL: $6.40

I could not even buy the T-shirt for that amount at a regular retail store. These are all good, clean clothes. And will be a welcomed addition to my very small summer wardrobe.

Southern Thrift is a good store, it's clean with a huge, organized inventory. Go here to find locations, hours and possible coupons. Their website is a little lacking and apparently not kept up to date (there is a coupon on the site right now, that expired in April). But, that will not keep me from visiting the stores.
